Working With Children Check (WWCC)

Some important information for everyone participating in our upcoming concert in August

All adult participants must have a Working With Children Check (WWCC), and you will not be able to participate in any of the combined rehearsals or performances without one. This is a requirement of both concert venues since we will be performing with secondary school choirs. There are some rare exceptions – for example, if you are a teacher with a VIT registration, or if you cannot get a WWC Check for any reason, please get in contact with the committee ASAP and let us know.

The process is free and takes approximately 15 minutes. You will need 2 forms of ID (passport, drivers licence, Medicare card, immigration card, student ID) and at least 1 must have your photo.

Tip: Use your phone (rather than laptop/desktop) as it will require you to take a selfie. iPhones must use Safari (not Chrome); pretty sure Android can use any browser.

Once applied, approval may take anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks, so please apply sooner rather than later. It will not be enough that you have applied; it must be approved.

You can apply for a WWCC on the WWCC website – https://www.vic.gov.au/working-with-children-check

Online Application Steps

Verifying your ID
• This can be done online (or in person at a Post Office).
• Select how you would like to verify your ID.
